This website is operated by Benner House LLC, 188 East Capitol Street, Suite 1350, Jackson, MS 39201 ("Benner House," "we," "us"). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

The articles, glossary, readiness scorecard, prices, and other content on this site are general information about AI training data and related practices. They are not professional, technical, financial, medical, or legal advice for your situation, and they are not a substitute for advice from someone who knows your facts.

• Articles are written as of their date. Laws, regulations, prices, and technology change. Check the date on anything you rely on.
• The scorecard is a self-assessment. Its result reflects your answers, not an examination of your data.
• Published prices are starting points, not offers. A price becomes binding only in a statement of work signed by both parties.

Using the site or sending us a message does not create a client relationship or any duty of confidentiality. Those begin only when we sign an agreement with you.

Benner House is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Where the site describes HIPAA, state privacy laws, the EU AI Act, or any other law or regulation, it describes rather than interprets. Decisions about what the law requires of your organization belong with your own counsel, and we're glad to work alongside them.

The text, illustrations, logo, design, and code of this site belong to Benner House or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. The typefaces are used under the SIL Open Font License.

You're welcome to read, print, and save pages for your own use, link to any page, and quote short excerpts with attribution and a link to the source page. Please don't republish whole articles, reuse the illustrations, or use the Benner House name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you or your product, without our written permission.

When using the site, please don't:

• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its hosting, or the contact form, or test their security without our permission;
• send automated traffic at a rate that degrades the site for others, or ignore the instructions in our robots.txt file;
• send spam, malware, or harassment through the contact form or our email addresses;
• submit other people's personal information, health information, or confidential records through the contact form;
• impersonate another person or organization; or
• use the site for anything unlawful.

Please don't send confidential information through the contact form or by email before we've signed an NDA with you. We handle every message with care, as described in our privacy policy, but a message sent before an NDA is not covered by a confidentiality agreement.

Articles link to regulators, statutes, standards bodies, research papers, and other sources so you can check our work. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. A link is a citation, not an endorsement.

We work to keep the site accurate and current, and we correct errors as described in our editorial policy. Even so, the site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, Benner House makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the site, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and does not promise that the site will be uninterrupted or free of errors.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Benner House will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of this site or your reliance on its content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100).

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain of these limitations, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, and nothing here changes the terms of a signed client agreement.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to the site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Hinds County, Mississippi, and you and Benner House consent to their jurisdiction.

We may update these terms as the site changes. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page. Using the site after an update means you accept the updated terms.
